What to Expect
Expect me to come to you when we need to meet (within reason). I know planning a wedding is busy and time consuming. When we need to meet, I will come to you, or we can pick a mutually convenient location to meet.
Expect attention to detail. Prior to your wedding day we will meet and you will take me step by step through everything that you have planned that day. This will give me time to prepare and know what events are most important to you.
Expect 24/7 availability to me for questions or concerns. I will provide you with my home phone, office phone and email addresses and invite you to use any of these if you ever have any questions or concerns.
Expect your wedding video to be critiqued. I edit every wedding as if it were my own. Before I am ever satisfied with a wedding video it must get the OK from an actual bride who was burned by a wedding videographer, my wife! My wife is my greatest critic and gives me her opinion from the view point of a bride.
What NOT to Expect
Do not expect any sales pitches. I am not a sales person. I will never try to sell you anything you did not ask about. I will explain all your options and leave it to you to make your decision. I understand weddings are expensive and most brides are working on a limited budget.
Do not expect to be working with another person like a secretary or an associate. You will be communicating directly with me, and I will be your primary contact for any questions or concerns.
Do not expect any hidden clauses or gotchas in my contract. Prior to signing anything, I will go through my contract with you line by line until you are comfortable with every line. The contract is used for peace of mind for both you and I. If you would like to see what is in this contract click here.
Other Things to Know
Quality of YOUR wedding video is what is important to me, not the quantity of weddings I can squeeze into the year. How many other wedding videographers will you find that can say that? As a general rule I will do no more than eight weddings a year. This ensures that I can focus on your wedding video and give it the proper attention and planning it deserves.
I know what it is like to hire the wrong wedding videographer! My wife and I did just that, and were extremely disappointed with the result. We know what it feels like to not have a video of ALL our wedding memories, and because of this unique insight I will go above and beyond to do everything in my power to capture every event that occurs on your wedding day.
I do have a contract that must be signed before any production services can take place. I will go over the contract line by line with you so you are comfortable with it. I have found that a contract provides peace of mind for both parties. Its a clear and concise way for you to understand exactly what I will be providing to you and helps to eliminate any assumptions. This contract is no big secret, and I want you to be comfortable when working with me. If you would like to see the details of the contract please click here to see it.
The turn around time from the date that I have ALL of the materials needed to edit your wedding video until the delivery date could be as much as six months. There are several reasons why it could take me six months to complete your video. a) I only run my video production business part-time and have a limited amount of time to actually work on producing your video. b) I take an exceptional amount of pride in every video that I produce and dont believe in rushing the process.
