Contract Details

1) This contract describes an agreement between GVP (hereafter referred to as GVP), a private video services company and the above listed Primary Contact (hereafter referred to as the Client).

2) The Primary Contact must sign this event video contract before services are rendered.

3) GVP agrees to record, on videotape/DVD, the Clients event on the date listed above according to the services selected by the Client and specified in the Package Information section below. Services provided by GVP will culminate in the delivery of a video production to the Client.

4) If the total job time exceeds (4) four hours, the videographer(s) must either be supplied food and non-alcoholic beverages(s) by the Client, or the videographer must be permitted a time period not to exceed thirty (30) minutes to obtain refreshments.

5) GVP shall be the exclusive videographer retained by the client for the purposes of videographing the event. Family and friends of the client shall be permitted to videotape provided they shall not interfere with GVP obligations.

6) Your deposit reserves that date indicated above, we will not take additional reservations for this time period. For this reason deposits cannot be refunded if the event is cancelled for any reason. However, the deposit paid may be used for a future event up to one (1) year past the date of this contract, providing GVP has no other obligations for that date. After that time, all deposits will be forfeit to GVP.

7) GVP reserves the right to use the original footage for promotional purposes. Promotion instruments may include, but are not limited to, Internet Web advertisements, bridal show productions, in-home and in-studio video demonstrations, and printed advertisements.

8) GVP will make every attempt to properly videotape all pertinent footage to be used in the development of the production. GVP cannot guarantee that any specific portion(s) of clients event will be recorded in part or in full. Client understands that the circumstances surrounding the video recording of live, non-staged events make them unpredictable. GVP will not be held monetarily or otherwise liable to client for failure to record any specific portion(s) of Clients event.

9) GVP takes utmost care with respect to editing, duplication and delivery of the video products and services offered. However, in the unlikely event we are unable to perform the services agreed upon or GVP fails to comply with the terms of this contract, our liability is limited to the refund of total amount paid.

10) It is your responsibility to get permission of church, synagogue, or other officials to videotape the event. The deposit is non-refundable if the clergy or officials prevent videotaping. We will abide by rules of the church, synagogue or other venue regarding camera placement and other restrictions.

11) There are too many variables to quote exact length. The main events will be in the edited copy. The edited copy is estimated to be between 30 and 60 minutes.

12) GVP uses external lighting devices as little as possible as we feel it is more of a distraction than a benefit. It is up to you to communicate to your event coordinator your desire for proper lighting levels. We will not be held responsible for video coverage that appears too dark as a result of the event room ambience.

13) We retain all copyright and reproduction rights for each production, original video tapes, edited masters, and all sub-masters of each production, whether in whole or in part. We retain the right to use portions of the event video for promotional or other purposes. It is illegal to reproduce this videotape/DVD elsewhere without permission from GVP.

14) As a benefit to our customers we can add music of your choice into your event video at no extra cost. However, the music used in your video must be legally owned by you and must be supplied by you to GVP prior to your scheduled event date.

15) We reserve the right to schedule videographers as required to fulfill contractual obligations. We cannot be held liable for events where a requested videographer cannot be present, and such does not release either party from contracted obligations.

16) Any changes to or supplements to this contract must be made prior to the day of the Clients event; no changes may be made on the day of the event.

17) Editing time of your final production is a very time intensive process and can vary depending on the footage captured at your event. All efforts will be made on the part of GVP to have your final production completed no more than six months after all editing materials are received (i.e. pictures, music, wedding party names, etc.)

18) Please notify any photographer that a videographer will be present. All photography that you would like to have video taped can only be done so with prior authorization from the photographer.

19) $25 will be charged for the return of any checks and must be paid before delivery of tapes

A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of half of the total package price is due to reserve your wedding date... The remaining balance is due upon delivery of final video.
